Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Partisipasi Petani dalam Contract Farming: Studi Kasus Petani Kopi di Lampung

Abstract


Standar permintaan global untuk produk pangan membutuhkan kualitas, kuantitas dan ketersedian produk pada waktu yang tepat. Keberlanjutan pasokan bahan baku menjadi kunci untuk mengoptimalkan manfaat yang diperoleh. Contract farming merupakan metode untuk memenuhi kebutuhan bahan baku bagi industri. Penelitian ini bertujuan adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi partisipasi petani dalam contract farming.  Penelitian dilaksanakan sentra produksi kopi yaitu Kabupaten Tanggamus dan Lampung Barat. Survei rumahtangga petani dilakukan pada bulan Mei-Juni 2018. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 170 responden yang terdiri atas 98 petani yang berpartisipasi dalam contract farming dan 72 petani yang tidak berpartisipasi. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi partisipasi petani dalam contract farming dianalisis menggunakan model logit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi petani didalam contract farming dipengaruhi oleh umur kepala keluarga, Jumlah anggota keluarga, luas areal panen kopi, jarak ke KUB, jarak ke pedagang pengumpul, jarak pasar, dan proporsi pendapatan dari usahatani kopi
