Dampak Keanggotaan Koperasi terhadap Pendapatan Rumah Tangga Pembudidaya Ikan di Indonesia

Koperasi berpotensi mengurangi biaya transaksi dan meningkatkan posisi tawar pembudidaya ikan kecil yang dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan pembudidaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan secara empiris apakah keanggotaan koperasi dapat meningkatkan pendapatan pembudidaya ikan di Indonesia. Dengan menggunakan data cross section skala nasional pada level rumah tangga, studi ini menggunakan Propensity Score Matching (PSM) untuk memperkirakan efek kausal dari keanggotaan koperasi terhadap pendapatan pembudidaya.. Dari lima produk budidaya yang dievaluasi tidak semuanya menunjukkan hasil yang sama, dimana dua produk yaitu ikan nila dan bandeng menunjukkan dampak yang positif sedangkan sisanya, keanggotaan koperasi tidak menunjukkan dampak yang signifikan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa koperasi berpotensi untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan pembudidaya ikan dari sisi pendapatan, sedangkan analisis lebih lanjut perlu dilakukan terutama pada mekanisme kelembagaan kerja koperasi di masing-masing pasar produk.
